Jamaican sprinter Asafa Powell suffered some problems on Tuesday at the Tom Jobim International Airport when he arrived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Immigration officials barred the ‘Sub10 King’ from entering the country as Powell did not have his Olympic documents.

Luckily Olympic volunteers present at the airport confirm with the Federal Police that they recognized the former 100m world record holder, he was then given a duplicate pass.

Powell who later confirmed the incident says the officials were very helpful and professional about the situation, he’s now at the training camp with his teammates as he prepares to compete in the Rio Olympic games.
