Adrienne recently spilled the tea on how she knew her fiance Israel was “the one” after the couple got engaged in Paris.

Bailon shared her romantic story of how fiance Israel Houghton proposed to her  while they were vacationing in Europe. According to Bailon with the actual proposal happened while they were in Paris, with a surprise appearance from her parents.

“We were vacationing in Europe. We had just gone to Greece and then we ended up coming back to Paris. And I was surprised with my parents showing up. And I didn’t know. There was some trickery going on. My parents being there was so special to me. They actually were celebrating twenty years of marriage. And I thought, originally, that we were just celebrating them and obviously when the surprise happened, I was super excited and super happy. So, I can’t wait.”

The former “Cheetah Girls” star told Hollywood Today Live that despite the fact that they had only been dating for 6 months she knew Israel was the one because they were friends for years and knew everything about each other.

“We were friends for three years before. And I think that makes a big difference. And being older, you kind of know what you want. I think when you’re younger you have to date around, kind of see what you like, what you don’t. There’s different things, honestly, from different people that I’ve dated  that I’m like ‘I love this quality…don’t love this quality so much.’ So I’m going to be 33 this year. I know exactly what I wanted and he is everything I wanted and more. And we’ve been…he is my best friend. And I think that makes such a big difference. And we never thought we’d end up together which allows you not to have your representative there…When you like somebody and you’re going into the relationship liking them, you have ulterior motives. It’s like ‘I really want him to like me too.’ Where that wasn’t there. It was just like, ‘Oh hey what’s up.’ And we’d hang out with a bunch of friends and I would say ridiculous things out of my mouth that I probably wouldn’t say if I really liked him. And he got to know the real me and I love that.”
